The "JustUs Troupe" is comprised of approximately 15-20 Cocke County youths who have been involved in after school and arts activities, plus new recruits and some adults totaling about 30 individuals. The mission of the troupe is to present educational, inspirational and informative themes and messages (in keeping with the organizational mission of furthering social, environmental & economic justice) through song, poetry, dance, handouts, sculpture, posters, video, street theater, enactments, and drumming. This effort involves teens in learning to use the arts for self-satisfaction while establishing a troupe which is becoming a sustainable vehicle for important artistic expression and communication with young children, other youth, community members and the general public.

Instructors for the troupe are arts specialists in Spoken Word, literature, visual arts, dance, drumming; local training, practice, discussion and rehearsal sessions take place regularly after school and during summer vacation.
